Luton is located in the county of Bedfordshire, Eastern England, five miles east of the town of Dunstable, and 28 miles northwest of London.

Population?

The population of Luton is 224,826 according to mid-2021 population figures published by the ONS. Based on recent growth rates we estimate the current 2023 population of Luton to be 228,000.

Things to do in Luton

Luton has many parks, one of which many locals would know to be Wardown park, which is situated on the River Lea in Luton. The park has various sporting facilities and is home to the Wardown Park Museum and contains formal gardens. The park is located between Old Bedford Road and the A6, New Bedford Road and is within walking distance of the town centre.

Tenpin Bowling - is situated in the town galaxy, Fancy a cheeky bite then head down to Nandos for some peri chicken.

Luton Central Library

Fancy reading a book or studying? Luton central library is situated in St Georges Square. Many people I myself born in the 90s have many memories of going on school trips to the library. A quiet place which holds many memories for some, dig deep and you may find an old library card somewhere in your attic.

Luton Airport

London Luton Airport is an international airport located in Luton, Bedfordshire, England, situated 1.5 miles east of the town centre, and 28 miles north of Central London.

Luton football club

Kenilworth Road is an association football stadium in Luton, Bedfordshire, England. It has been the home ground of Luton Town Football Club since 1905. Also known as the Hatters Luton Fc offers a range of season tickets for home and away games, head on over to their website to get your hands on them. 

Food

Where do we start with food, Luton is known for its food. With a food street situated in Bury park with a number of restaurants and takeaways from fresh fried chicken to healthy grilled peri. Bury park, Luton has many choices to hit your taste buds. Chai and breakfast on a Sunday with a number of cafes situated throughout the whole town you will not be disappointed. 

Education

The University of Bedfordshire is a public research university with campuses in Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire, England. The University has roots in 1882, however, it gained university status in 1993 as the University of Luton.
